Taos, NM - Kit Carson House -2

The Kit Carson House and Museum in Taos, New Mexico, once a sleepy southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains town, inhabited by Native Americans for centuries, that has grown into an art colony, filled with museums and dozens of shops, that is now a worldwide tourist attraction. The house was built circa 1825 and purchased by legenday American frontiersman and soldier Christopher "Kit" Carson as a wedding gift for his third wife, Maria Josefa Jaramillo.
