Tulsa, OK - Redfork Bell Motorcourt

Redfork Bell Gas Station Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Red Fork neighborhood is west of the Arkansas River. After passing through a semi-industrial area, where an oil refinery, rail yard, and other businesses sit, is the old town. In March, 2007, part of the neighborhood was selected by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to be the city's first designated Urban Main Street Community. The Red Fork Main Street encompasses two blocks on either side of Southwest Boulevard extending from the Arkansas River to 49th West Avenue and works to preserve and promote a four-mile stretch of Route 66 in southwest Tulsa. The old Bell station was razed in 2013, but the sign was saved. Photo by Kathy Alexander.
