A re-created early Phillips 66 gasoline station (with an oil derrick in the distance) at the Route 66 Historical Village, a nostalgic park along historic U.S. Route 66 as it winds through Tulsa, Oklahoma. Called “The Mother Road” by its aficionados, Route 66 was the original paved, mostly two-lane highway that ran from Chicago, Illinois, to Santa Monica, California during the “Golden Age of Driving” in the 20th Century.
