Tulsa, OK - Meadow Gold Sign Original Location

In the 1940’s, a large Meadow Gold sign was put up atop a small building at 11th and Lewis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Once the property of Beatrice Food Company, both the company and the Meadow Gold brand enjoyed prosperity during the heydays of the 1940's. The sign stood as a beacon on Route 66 for some 60 years, until 2004, when the building, along with the sign was sold. This photo taken just three days before the sign was taken down. However, the sign was saved and was later moved to 1324 E 11th Street in Tulsa. By David Alexander.
