Jake Huff built the Huff Hotel, one of the most imposing buildings of early
Atlantic City,
Wyoming, as well as a livery barn, candy store, and bunkhouse. Only the Huff Candy Store remains. Built later, about 1903, it was operated by the Huff sisters. Among the first settlers, Jake Huff had a financial interest in many of the businesses, including a brewery, saloon, gold mines, a stamp mill (west of town), and a lumber mill.
