The Delaware County Electric Company Building in Chester, Pennsylvania, a close-in
Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania suburb incorporated in 1682, is the oldest city in the commonwealth, as Pennsylvania and Virginia call their states. The building is part of the Chester Waterside Station of the Philadelphia Electric Company, a historic former coal-fired power station on the Delaware River. It is currently (as of 2019) owned by the PECO Energy Company of the Exelon Corporation and has been converted into an office building. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2019.
