famous Pat’s Steaks restaurant in the south Philadelphia neighborhood, home to a large Italian-American community. Pat’s doesn’t make steaks in the usual sense of the word. It, nearby Geno’s, and other such emporiums make the city’s legendary (those who count calories would say notorious) Philly cheesesteaks — which aren’t steaks, either!
