Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania's iconic City Hall, above which stands perhaps the city’s best-known landmark — a statue of Pennsylvania founder and Philadelphia planner William Penn. Most everybody in town calls it, simply, the “Billy Penn statue.” The bronze statue, by Alexander Milne Calder, was installed in 1894. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2019.
