The shrimp boat Capt B.T.S., loaded with more than crustaceans and crew, passes by at the annual Blessing of the Fleet of shrimp boats in the Atlantic Coast city of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, just north of Charleston. The event is more than a blessing from a member of the clergy. It's a daylong festival saluting the fleet, its sailors, and the shrimping industry. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2017.
