A restored and vibrant block on Commercial Street, or “C Street,” as many locals call it, in Springfield, the largest city in the southwest quadrant of Missouri that includes the state’s share of the Ozark Mountains (Arkansas has the other). The street, once the center of a vibrant neighborhood along the city’s primary railroad lines, declined severely but (as of 2020) is turning into a revived entertainment hot spot that became, a national historic district.
