The Wishing Well Motel at 3550 W. Chestnut Expressway in Springfield, Missouri, opened in 1947 with 17 units that had garages. There was a wishing well in the courtyard. The motel was n heavily remodeled over the years, and the garages and the wishing well were removed. Over time, the old motor inn deteriorated and was closed. It was soon slated to be demolished because it was no longer habitable and had become a nuisance. It was bulldozed in June 2019 and is now an empty lot.
