Memorial Presbyterian Church, built by Florida railroad tycoon Henry Morrison Flagler in 1889 in St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1565 by Spanish admiral Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, the city is the oldest in the Continental United States — begun decades before three other famous early sites: Jamestown, Virginia (1607); Santa Fe, New Mexico (1610); and Plymouth, Massachusetts (1620).
