Irene Womble Foster (1908-1998) - Thava Irene was born in Hutchinson County, Texas to William Carson and Mollie T. Womble. She grew up to marry Ben Murrell Foster on June 7, 1930 in the Methodist parsonage at Guymon, Oklahoma. They had four children. The first, a son named Joe Melvin, was still born. The other three were Daphne Ernestine, Doris Lorene, and Wanda Merle Foster. She and Ben Foster were divorced in 1972. Afterwards, she moved into her parents old home in Stinnett, where she lived until her death on August 6, 1998. She is buried in the Lieb Cemetery in Hutchinson County, Texas.
