Central City, CO - Boodle Mill

Just outside of Central City, Colorado, the Boodle Mill still stands. It got its start with the boom of the area. When the ore began to play out, it was closed but reopened in World War II to mine and mill lead for bullets. The mill was later taken over by the US Department of Reclamation and, eventually, the town of Central City, which owns it today. Photo by Kathy Alexander.
