Louisville, KY - Courier-Journal Newspaper Building

Headquarters building of the Louisville Courier-Journal newspaper in Louisville, Kentucky’s largest city, which lies along the winding Ohio River across from the state of Indiana. Architect Joseph H. Kolbrook designed the eight-story building, which opened in 1948. Founded in 1778, Louisville was named after King Louis XVI in appreciation for his nation’s assistance to the rebel colonists in the American Revolution in that decade.
