Morning fog brings a
Texas sized frost to the area around to the town of Kent Texas one late February day. Kent, founded before 1892, was originally known as Antelope due to the large number of the animal in the area. In 1914 the town had four cattle operations, a general store and a population of about 25. That doubled by 1924, however the Post Office was closed in 1960, followed by the school in 1961. In the late 1960's Kent had four businesses and 65 residents, and as late as 2000, Kent still had six businesses.
Although it could be the fog, we didn't see much life left in Kent while passing through in 2015. Photo by Dave Alexander.
